SPEC (Shutterspeed Photoshoot Engineering Challenge)

One picture expresses thousand meanings.  The creativity on expressing engineering values in one single picture may give massive effect to the society.  Thus, for that particular purpose, a photo shoot contest will be organize within the week so that the society may view all engineering aspects through various angles


Title: Shutterspeed Photoshoot Engineering Challenge

1.   Vision:

1.1              To show the talent of taking the picture of the participants.
1.2              To appreciate beautiful landscape of IIUM.
1.3              To recognize the art photography.

2.      Prize:

2.1              1st RM 150 & Certificate
2nd RM 125 & Certificate
3rd RM 100 & Certificate
4th RM 75 & Certificate
5th RM 50 & Certificate
2.2              Certificate for all participants.

3.      Fees:

3.1              RM 8 for IIUM Student.
3.2              RM 10 for Public.

4.      Rule and regulation:

4.1              All participants need to use their own camera.
4.2              These competition open to all people and divided by two categories:
a.       IIUM Student.
b.      Public.
4.3              There are two stage:
1.      1st Stage          : Sports and Games.
2.      2nd Stage          : IIUM landscape and culture.
4.4              All the participants need to submit the picture (some description behind the picture), fees (by using money postal order), and registration form for the 1st stage from 19th January to 18th February 2011.
4.5              Picture, fees and registration form need to put in one envelope. Submit to the following address:

4.6              For the 1st stage, the participants need to submit their picture in A5 size.
4.7              All participants can send maximum three pictures and put the interesting description at the back of the picture. 
4.8              From the IIUM participants, they can call following person for more information:

4.9          The 1st stage will be vote by public to qualify for the 2nd stage.
4.10          10 peoples in each category will be qualifying in 2nd stage.
4.11          For those who are qualified for the 2nd stage, there are needs to come to IIUM at 19th February to compete in 2nd stage competition.
4.12          The winner of the 2nd stage will be announcement on 22th February 2011.   
4.13          The winner of 2nd stage can get their prize on 24th February 2011, Closing ceremony of Technology Exhibition And Career 2011.
